Dog and Cat Healthy Diets
The veterinary, nursing, and technical staff at Sand Springs Small Animal Hospital can provide guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage. Guidance includes dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance and performance.
Obesity is America’s most common pet health care problem. Measuring your pet’s food daily and feeding them according to guidelines set by your veterinarian at Sand Springs Small Animal Hospital can help to prevent obesity in your pet. If your pet is over or under weight we can provide recommendations on diet changes, portions sizes, and some tricks to make the process easier for you and your pet.
We can provide a variety of nutritional supplements for: joint care, skin and coat, liver health, urinary tract, and behavior/stress problems. Nutritional supplements can be used alone or in conjunction with medications to treat specific problems or just to keep your pet healthy.
The veterinarians at SSSAH often use therapeutic diets to help manage health issues. We carry the Science Diet brand of veterinary diets, but we may recommend other commercial diets depending on your pet’s needs.
